In 2025 over half a million people walked the Camino de Compostela, 9,000 of them Australians. This course concentrates primarily on the Camino Frances, touching briefly on several other routes culminating in Santiago de Compostela. We begin by exploring the history and folklore of the way, the terrain, prominent pilgrim sites, villages, and towns. After lunch practical information is covered that will assist you in preparing for the journey, focusing on resources, equipment, accommodation etc. A comprehensive handout will be provided.
