Focusing on the beautiful Bargello technique, an intricate, textile-inspired pattern originating from Italian embroidery, you’ll learn how to transform colourful clay into striking, layered designs.
With step-by-step guidance, you’ll create either a pair of earrings or a pendant that is both wearable and gift-worthy.
This small-group workshop provides a relaxed and supportive environment where you can explore creativity while learning essential polymer clay skills.
You’ll be guided through the full process, from preparing and shaping clay through to baking and assembling your finished piece.
Whether you’re looking for a new creative outlet, a mindful activity, or inspiration for a future hobby or small business, this workshop is a fun and rewarding introduction.
All materials, tools and jewellery findings are included in the course fee.
If you use reading or sewing glasses for close, detailed work, please bring them along.

Course Structure
The workshop begins with an introduction to polymer clay, including how to properly condition and prepare it for use.
Students will then explore the Bargello technique, learning how to layer and arrange colours to create the distinctive patterned effect inspired by traditional Florentine embroidery.
Demonstrations will guide participants through shaping, refining and developing their designs.
As the session progresses, students will cut and finish their chosen jewellery pieces, preparing them for baking.
Guidance will be provided on correct curing methods to ensure strength and durability.
The workshop concludes with assembling the jewellery using professional findings, resulting in a polished, finished piece ready to wear or gift.
