The Tutor will highlight the Island's vast girth, riches and unique produce, not to mention its 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will climb over 1,200 steps to Sigiriya, the ancient rock fortress that rises nearly 200 meters above the surrounding plains, visit tea plantations, Yala Safari Park and spend time in Colombo. You will be surprised at how much Sri Lanka has to offer.

With more than 27 years in the travel industry, Margo brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and a genuine passion for exploring the world. Her career has included 16 years with Qantas International, followed by roles with Jetstar and Norwegian Cruise Line. Having travelled extensively herself, Margo enjoys sharing not only the destinations but also the stories, history, culture and personal experiences that bring each place to life.
Margo holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, a Certificate III in Travel and Tourism, and has completed specialist certification with a range of leading river and ocean cruise companies.

Course Structure
This illustrated course combines historical insights, cultural exploration and practical travel information to provide a comprehensive introduction to Sri Lanka.
Students will explore the island's ancient civilizations and UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Sigiriya, Dambulla, Anuradhapura and the Sacred City of Kandy.
The course also follows some of Sri Lanka's most iconic travel experiences, from the scenic Blue Train journey through the hill country and tea plantations to Yala National Park, beautiful coastal regions and the vibrant capital of Colombo.
Along the way, students will learn about Sri Lankan food, music, festivals, wildlife and everyday culture while receiving practical advice on accommodation, transport, shopping and planning an enjoyable visit.
