Carey Hauri has been teaching at WEA since 2025.
She is a Resilience, Mindset and Wellbeing Specialist, helping individuals and groups develop the mindset, skills and strategies to better cope with the stresses, adversities and challenges of life.
The learning and coaching she provides, draws on wisdom gained from 40 plus years of life and learning, and more than 20 years of experience working in training, education and coaching.
During her professional life she has enjoyed working in a variety of other roles including English teacher, journalist/media liaison, business mentor, training coordinator, vocational trainer (business, management and leadership) and Success and Wellbeing Services Team Leader/Coach.
In 2015, she published her first book, “Life Salsa: Life Lessons from the Dance Floor”.
Born in Switzerland, she immigrated with her family to Australia when she was six years old. Carey calls Australia home but has also lived in Switzerland, Hungary, South Africa and Spain, has visited more than 30 other countries and learnt four languages. She loves being with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds!
When she's not working, you might find her meditating in the peace of the early morning, enjoying a cappuccino with a friend, sitting in a favourite cafe absorbed in a book or walking at the beach at sunset.
