Course Description

Create a beautiful and functional outdoor space, no matter how small your garden may be.

Whether you have a compact backyard, courtyard, balcony or narrow side garden, this practical workshop will show you how thoughtful design can maximise both space and enjoyment.

Guided by an experienced landscape designer, you'll discover how good planning, clever layouts and the right plant choices can transform even the smallest area into a welcoming extension of your home.

Through practical examples and expert guidance, you'll learn the fundamentals of successful garden design, from assessing your site and creating functional zones to selecting plants, materials and decorative elements that suit your space and lifestyle.

You'll also explore ideas for vertical gardens, privacy screening, water-wise planting and making small spaces feel larger and more cohesive.

Whether you're starting from scratch or refreshing an existing garden, you'll leave with practical ideas, inspiration and the confidence to begin designing your own outdoor sanctuary.
