Course Description
Terrariums are a beautiful and low-maintenance way to bring a touch of greenery indoors, whether at home or in the office.
In this hands-on course, you’ll learn how to design, construct, and care for your own miniature indoor garden.
With endless combinations of containers, plants, and decorative elements, terrariums offer a creative outlet as well as a calming presence in your space.
No gardening experience is required, just a willingness to get your hands a little dirty and have fun with design.
With guidance from your tutor, you'll explore the basic principles of how terrariums function, including drainage, plant selection, light requirements, and long-term maintenance.
The tutor will provide all necessary materials except for the container, which students are asked to bring.
You'll receive expert instruction and hands-on support as you build your own terrarium to take home, complete with plants and decorative elements.
Course Structure
The session begins with an introduction to terrarium types and how they work, followed by a demonstration on layering materials for proper drainage, plant health, and aesthetic appeal.
Students will then receive guidance on selecting plants and designing a layout to suit their chosen container.
With the help of the tutor, each participant will construct their own terrarium during the session.
Time will also be devoted to tips on care and troubleshooting, ensuring your terrarium continues to thrive long after the class.
