Bob the Murder Man will take you on a 2hr journey from Light Square, over the Morphett Street Bridge then along the Torrens River before ending up at Hindmarsh Square. Hear about the many murders which took place along this journey including those of George Duncan, John Neill, Constable John Holman and Elva Stewart.
Bob commenced with the WEA in 2025.
Some people know him as Bob the murder man, others know him as a novice historian with a passion for unravelling the mysteries of South Australia's darker past. With years of research and exploration into the state’s historical records, and 4 years of volunteering as a guide at the Old Adelaide Gaol, Bob brings to light the chilling tales of murders, hangings and unusual deaths that have left a mark on South Australia's history. All records must be 50 years or older for him to access them.
From the harsh frontier days to the bustling cities of the 20th century, Bob provides a captivating narrative that sheds light on the social, cultural, and legal contexts surrounding these gruesome events, and the changes in standards, expectations and law along the way.
