Giant Paper Flower Workshop

Course Description

Giant paper flowers are popping up everywhere! You may have seen them in window displays, retail stores, home styling, hotel foyers and of course at super stylish events including weddings and birthday celebrations.

In this hands-on workshop, participants will create their own giant daisy flowers using crepe paper, crafting detailed petals and vibrant colours. We'll also construct sturdy stems from pipes and add lifelike leaves to complete the design.

Step-by-step guidance will be provided as you learn techniques for shaping, assembling, and bringing your large-scale flower to life. By the end of the session, you'll have a stunning, oversized daisy to take home or display.

No prior experience is necessary – just bring your creativity and enthusiasm for making something beautiful and unique!

All materials will be provided by the tutor and are included in the course fee.

Course Structure

Here’s a breakdown of what to expect:

The workshop starts with an overview of the flower we’ll be making, as well as an explanation of the materials provided. You’ll also receive a tutorial booklet so you can continue creating giant paper flowers at home.

Next, you'll learn how to create the flower centre, using paper crafting techniques to shape and form the flower's core. Then you’ll move on to the outer centre, adding texture and dimension to your flower.

The most time-intensive part of the workshop is attaching floral wire to each petal for structure and flexibility. After that you’ll assemble the flower, carefully layering and attaching the petals.

In the leaf-making session you’ll craft and attach leaves and learn how to finish off your flower ready for display or gifting.

By the end, you'll have created a beautiful paper flower and gained valuable paper crafting skills to continue creating on your own.

Course Learning Outcomes
