You'll also dive into the world of buttercream, learning how to handle piping tools with ease and confidence. Through guided demonstrations and plenty of practice time, you'll develop your own decorating style while working on a set of six cupcakes.
With expert instruction, a relaxed atmosphere, and a beautiful takeaway box of your creations, this course offers the perfect blend of learning, creativity, and delicious fun.
Course Structure
We start with an introduction to fondant, and you will be taught how to use fondant in conjunction with silicone moulds to make delicate sugar flowers and butterflies.
We then move on to our delicious buttercream. Starting with the basics, you'll be shown how to load a piping tip into a piping bag, then how to fill with buttercream.
The tutor will demonstrate numerous piping techniques, which you will practice on baking paper to ensure that you are confident before piping onto your cupcakes.
The tutor will then demonstrate six different designs on six cupcakes. You can follow along or use your newfound knowledge to freestyle your cupcake decorations.
Once piped, you will take your cupcakes home in a professional pastry box.

This course will be held at The Adelaide Chocolate School, 48 Melbourne Street, North Adelaide.
There is free street parking available nearby.
Course Requirements
Students are required to purchase a kit for $35 at the session. Payment can be made by cash or card.
The kit contains everything you need including fondant, three vanilla and three chocolate cupcakes, buttercream, edible gold decorative balls and a professional box to take your creations home in.
The cost of the kit also includes the use of moulds, piping tips and an apron. Please note that all moulds, piping tips and aprons remain the property of the tutor.
You will be provided with recipes for the Swiss Meringue Buttercream and chocolate cupcakes, but please bring a small note pad and pen if you would like to take additional notes.
The tutor will also have silicone moulds and piping tips available for purchase at the session.
