Pilates Fusion

Course Description

Pilates Fusion is a beginner-friendly class designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of Pilates in a supportive, non-clinical environment. 

This course focuses on developing long, lean muscles, improving posture, and increasing core strength and flexibility through low-impact exercises. 

You’ll be guided through each movement with an emphasis on technique, breath control, and body awareness. 

Each session offers a blend of explanation, demonstration, and practice. You’ll learn the essential elements of Pilates such as centring, concentration, and flow while gaining confidence in your ability to perform each exercise safely and effectively. 

Whether you're new to exercise or returning after a break, Pilates Fusion offers a gentle yet effective approach to improving your overall wellbeing.

Course Structure

Throughout the course, students will be introduced to the core principles and terminology of Pilates, starting with the basics of posture, alignment, and breath control. 

Classes will progress through key movement principles including centring, isolation, and flow, with step-by-step guidance and plenty of time for individual practice. 

The goal is to build both strength and confidence through repetition, feedback, and gradual improvement.

Course Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, students will be able to:

  • Understand the background and benefits of Pilates
  • Recognise and use common Pilates terms with confidence
  • Identify and apply the key principles: breathing, centring, concentration, isolation, and flow
  • Perform foundational Pilates exercises with correct form and technique
  • Improve posture, flexibility, and core strength
  • Approach physical activity with increased body awareness and control
