This comprehensive, one-day workshop is designed to give you a practical and encouraging introduction to the essentials of speaking clearly and confidently in front of others.
Whether you need to speak up in meetings, present ideas, propose a toast, or deliver a short speech, this course covers the key skills needed to prepare, organise, and present with confidence.
This workshop includes a mix of education, demonstration, video analysis, and practical exercises.
You'll learn how to manage nerves, speak on the spot, structure a speech, and connect with your audience using vocal variety and body language.
By the end of the day, you’ll walk away with more confidence and practical strategies you can apply immediately.
A Statement of Attendance certificate is issued upon completion.

Course Structure
The course begins with introductions and a practical storytelling exercise, followed by tips on managing nerves and thinking on your feet.
As the day progresses, you'll learn how to prepare a speech, practise delivery, and observe real examples, both good and bad, through video reviews.
You’ll take part in creative speech exercises, learn how to introduce others and handle being introduced, and explore techniques for handling tricky questions and formal settings like meetings or special events.
The session wraps up with group evaluation and guidance on next steps for developing your speaking skills.
