DRYPOINT PRINTMAKING
Practical Art
Printmaking

This workshop will teach you how to transfer a design (or draw directly) to a recycled tetra pack cardboard box (10x15cm approximately) using a sharp pencil or burin, the tetra pack plates will be then printed on cotton rag paper using an Xcut Express. Participants will walk away with at least three prints of the design, basic knowledge and practical skills which can be used later at home. The plates are made of recycled Tetra pack Milk or Juice cardboard boxes, an alternative way to make prints and learn the basics of drypoint etching. You are welcome to bring along 1 x image: 10x15cm. There will also be time in class to develop your imagery. Materials valued at $50 are provided by Tutor and included in fee. Please note that students will be required to stand for short periods of time.
