This short course explores genocide in human history. It aims to define what genocide is, understand why it happens, and unravel what we can learn from these tragic events. This course will present a discussion of genocides, ranging from the ancient world, through to the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries. There is a warning that this topic may be graphic at times and discuss themes and events that may be unsettling to some.
