This advanced Ancient Greek course focuses on both grammar revision and reading classic texts, with the selection of authors driven by student interest. Having studied Homer, students are currently exploring Hesiod's Works and Days, with Greek lyric poetry next on the agenda. All course materials are provided by the tutor, ensuring a rich and immersive learning experience.

Your Tutor is Dr. Alessandro Boria.

Dr Alessandro Boria has been teaching at WEA since 2012. 

Alessandro has a Bachelor of Arts, Master's in Literature and Linguistics, and a PHD in Classics and Classical Languages.

Alessandro was born in Rome, and this is where he studied and grew up. He attended University in Rome and Berlin, graduating in 2003. In Italy he taught at university and in high schools. 

Alessandro has been teaching Italian, Latin and Ancient Greek since moving to Australia in 2012 and is passionate about food and wine, as well as passing on his love of languages.
