French Advanced Conversation

Course Description

This course is designed for advanced French students who wish to refine and maintain their fluency through engaging conversation and structured language support.

With a strong emphasis on speaking and listening, this class encourages participants to express themselves with confidence on a range of current and thought-provoking topics.

Students will improve their oral comprehension, reinforce advanced grammatical structures, and continue expanding their vocabulary, all without the need for a textbook.

Instead, the course draws on authentic resources and real-world materials to keep content fresh, relevant, and enjoyable.

Whether you're looking to sharpen your French for travel, work, or personal enrichment, this year-long course provides the consistency and challenge needed to stay fluent.

Grammar review is integrated into conversation practice, helping students not only speak fluently but with precision.

Each session fosters a supportive environment where learners can participate actively in discussions, work on pronunciation, and develop a deeper understanding of French culture through news articles, audio clips, and video excerpts.

Course Structure

Students will participate in guided conversation sessions based on a rotating selection of contemporary topics.

Each class begins with warm-up discussions and oral comprehension exercises using audio or video segments.

These are followed by grammar refreshers relevant to the discussion theme, ensuring that speaking practice is underpinned by strong linguistic accuracy.

Students are encouraged to share opinions, debate ideas, and narrate experiences in French, with corrections and feedback from the tutor to support continual improvement.

As the course progresses, learners will work with a variety of materials, including news articles, interviews, and cultural content to keep sessions dynamic and engaging.
